    Jordan’s most common engineering projection is the Jordan TM grid on the European ED50 datum (EPSG:3066) — a Transverse Mercator covering the Kingdom, on which many project and infrastructure sheets are drawn. The ED50 datum itself (EPSG:4230) also appears geographically on older regional mapping.

    Modern GNSS work observes on WGS84 and is usually delivered in UTM: Amman (35.9°E) sits very close to the zone 36/37 boundary at longitude 36°E — western Jordan falls in zone 36 and the east in 37, so confirm the zone before delivering. Note too that the published ED50 transform is approximate (the accuracy badge shows it); precise sheets need a local fit.
