Coordinate systems in Morocco: quick reference
Survey and mapping in Morocco rest on the Merchich datum (EPSG:4261), the classic geodetic frame that covered the kingdom through a series of longitudinal belts rather than UTM zones. The Nord Maroc belt (EPSG:26191) covers the north, where Rabat, Casablanca and Fez lie.
South of that belt comes Sud Maroc (EPSG:26192) for the centre and south, then Sahara Sud (EPSG:26194) for the southern desert provinces.
