    FAQ

    Is my location sent anywhere?
No. Locating happens entirely in your browser via the Geolocation API; your coordinates are not uploaded to our servers and are never placed in the page URL. We only record a consent-gated anonymous tally of the work area — with no personal data.
What does the ±X m accuracy mean?
It is the 68% confidence radius your device’s GPS receiver reports: your true position most likely falls inside that circle. Accuracy improves in the open and degrades among tall buildings or indoors.
Why isn’t phone GPS as accurate as a surveyor’s GNSS?
A phone’s single-frequency receiver has no corrections, so it is accurate to a few metres. Survey-grade GNSS (RTK/static) reaches centimetres using reference stations and corrections. For certified work and precise surveys, contact our technical office for geodetic adjustment.
Which national grid and MGRS is my point in?
After locating you, the tool shows your MGRS reference and UTM (WGS 84) coordinates, plus a table of every national coordinate system whose area of use covers your point (e.g. the Egyptian belts or the Gulf/Levant grids), with each system’s EPSG code.
How do I enable the location permission if it was denied?
Click the lock icon next to the page address in your browser, enable the “Location” permission for this site, and try again. On a phone, also make sure location services are on for both the system and the browser.
